The first one to visit Loki in his cell after he’s captured is Bruce. He slips in, quiet and unassuming, and just watches the god for a few moments before Loki finally turns to him, snarling, and demands to know what he wants. He says that he wanted to tell him that he knows what it feels like—to be locked up, feared, hated. He knows what it feels like to be a monster. To be shunned because of who you are. He says that he wouldn’t wish that feeling on anyone, not even Loki, and, just a teensy bit embarrassed, he apologizes for Hulk-smashing him into the concrete. Loki, for once, doesn’t know what to say. So he just stands there and stares at the scientist. Bruce didn’t really expect a response anyway so he turns to leave. He hears Loki’s whispered “…Thank you.” but he pretends he doesn’t. The god’s pride has suffered enough.

Fran and Mammon were very, very good friends. During the time that Mammon wasn’t at the Varia Mansion he was with Fran. They’d become friends by accident and shared quite a lot of things since their friendship. After Fran heard that he was taking Mammons place in the Varia he wanted to die. His best friend was dead and he was taking over his place. 

He’d heard that Bel took Mammons death terribly, so he tried not to be upset about it, instead he used it to tease Bel. Really though every time he mentioned Mammon or looked in the mirror he was reminded of the purple haired arcobaleno and he wanted to kill himself. He still does. 

Mammon is Frans weakness.

I can kind of understand being incapable of love, though I’m personally of the idea that even a demon like Shaytan is capable of feeling such “human” emotions such as loneliness and anger, but I digress.

However, I think that Shaytan was, at the very least, not being selfish when he offered the oath of eternity to Layla. If he were truly selfish, perhaps even evil, he would have escaped after being freed and left Layla to die in that dungeon. Maybe even killed her himself if he felt somehow merciful.

I grew up with the notion that demons such as this were bound by contracts. By freeing him, Layla gave Shaytan something invaluable; as such, he is bound to give her something considered invaluable by humans in return. Is it truly a good thing, though? She betrayed her own beliefs in accepting the deal. Prolonging life goes against core religious principles. He strips her of her humanity, and transforms her into something much less than a person.

True, had he been a completely heartless bastard he would have abandonned her, could have tortured her once eternal life had been granted, or, as you said, gone against covenant and killed her outright. My headcanon doesn’t see him as evil, not of this kind, anyhow, but neither does it see him as the loving and caring companion that seems to prevalent in the fandom. If anything, she’s a toy, amusing him for now and easy to throw away once the appeal has worn off.

I don’t see him as a fucking evil bastard too. It wasn’t what I’m trying to say in the headcanon. I just can’t see it as a pure and beautiful love as it is showed in the fandom. Maybe “selfish” isn’t the right word, but I couldn’t think in anything else.

It’s just a headcanon, because I believe the intention was really show Shaytan as a romantic Demon. [?] Or something like this. But, for me, it isn’t love. Layla helped him, he helped her. Just it. No love at all. He has the freedom he wanted, that’s what matter for him. Layla helped him, so, okay, let’s be gently with her.

Now I’m curious about the headcanon D:

It’s something stupid, actually. And I would give everyone ALL the reasons to call me “stupid Shaytan fangirl” and blame me because of it. But really… It’s not because I can’t stand Layla, I don’t ship them or because I (really) am a stupid Shaytan fangirl, I just think it’s… kinda interesting to see things to another point of view.
